Clean technology investments

Clean technology refers to any kind of technology that helps in reducing adverse environmental impact of human practices. Venture capitalists around the world have been actively investing in clean technology projects.

According to some estimates, in third quarter of 2008, total clean technology investments worth nearly $2.6 billion were made in North America, China, Europe, and India. This has been a record quarter for clean technology investments. Full year total has already exceeded previous year figure of $6 billion. By end of third quarter, total clean technology investments had reached $6.6 billion.
