UN Framework Convention on Climate Change

The United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) was initiated by several developed countries to diminish global warming and to deal with whatever temperature increases are predictable.

United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) encourages all organizations involved in the climate change process, mainly the COP, the supplementary bodies and their Bureau. The United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) sets a general support for intergovernmental efforts to deal with challenges caused by climate change. It is believed that climate system is a limited resource that can be easily affected by industrial and other emissions of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases. United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) enjoys a universal membership, which includes 192 authorized countries.

United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) mainly performs jobs like
  • Collect and allocate information on greenhouse gas emissions, national policies and best practices
  • Instigate national plans for dealing with greenhouse gas emissions and acclimatizing to estimated shocks from greenhouse gas emissions, including the terms of monetary and technical support to developing countries
  • Assisting in arranging for alteration to the impacts of climate change
United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change was initiated on 21 March 1994. Kyoto Protocol one of the major scheme under United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. Kyoto Protocol is in international agreement, which binds target for nearly 37 industrialized countries and the European community for reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change Secretariat is based in Bonn, Germany. The secretariat keeps an international operational monitor to confirm that dealings are reliable with the rules of the Protocol.
